Mercedes-Benz has launched the new facelift of C Class 2018 and when you look at this car from outside, you will not see any radical changes. However, there are certain nuanced differences that give this car a more contemporary look. This mid-range sedan with high-quality materials and superior safety features allows that all the riders can have a comfortable and safe ride in it. We were able to drive this car and were quite impressed not only by its looks but also by the overall experience we got from riding this car on various tracks.
The Mercedes-Benz C Class is a sleek looking car with high-quality features and superb driving ability. Although the design of this car has not changed dramatically over the years, it still looks beautiful with its curvy edges, a sloping roofline, and a beautiful looking engine grill that also has slats running horizontally on it. The clear lens headlamp cluster with DRLs, the big socket on the front bumper completes the front profile of this car. From the side, you will find the smooth lines that merge at the rear, give it a dynamic look. The overall look of this car is sophisticated, which allows it to stand out on its own in a crowd.
The passenger cabin of this car is tastefully designed and when we checked the seats, we found them to be ergonomically designed with premium leather upholstery. When we sat on the seats (both front as well as the back), we found that there were adequate legroom and headroom for all the riders. Furthermore, the big windows gave it a roomy feel, which can be expanded further, if you open the sunroof. Sitting in the front, you will find that the instrument panel is well-placed and all the knobs and dials are well with the reach of the driver. Additionally, a 12.3 command infotainment screen allows you to not only look at the navigation maps but also controls various features that are incorporated in this car. Riding in this car is very comfortable and we were very pleased with the noiseless cabin and superior suspension system that allowed us to travel in a comfort bubble even when we were driving through heavy traffic on an uneven road.
In the new facelift of the Mercedes-Benz C Class, you will find that the designers have tweaked the engine configurations. Therefore, the 2 L petrol engine is replaced by 1.5 L turbocharged mill. However, the AMG trim of this model continues with the amazing 3.0 L V6 engine, which gives it such a great power. Both these engines are attached with a sophisticated 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox, which allows this car to perform so flawlessly at a different range of speeds. Driving this car, we never felt constrained for power and we always felt that there was power in reserve, which we can tap in case we need more to overtake another car on the road.
The price of this car ranges from Rs. 40 lakhs to Rs. 48.50 lakhs (approximate). The major competitors of this car in the market are Audi A4, Volvo S 60, and Jaguar XE.
