The iconic German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has launched the C-Class Cabriolet facelift in India in the latter half of 2018. It is the 11th new product release by Mercedes-Benz in 2018. This year the company decided to present the first ever facelift of this model and showcased it at the 2018 New York Auto Show. The company thought of an innovative idea of launching the upgraded C-Class Cabriolet and announcing its price range at an automobile television programme instead of an auto expo in India.
The facelifted version of C-Class Cabriolet comes with many visual tweaks including a dazzling multibeam LED headlights, redesigned bumpers and at attractive alteration on the alloy wheels. These stylish headlamps come with pixel-specific beam range along with coverage control. The tail lamps are sleek, and the sporty bumper comes with an AMG-like design. The car sits on 17-inch alloy wheels with twin five-spoke design. The tailored soft top is available in four colour options- red, black, blue and brown. The convertible remains based on the C-Class Coupe and is available in three premium colour options-, Mojave Silver, Selenite Grey and the hugely popular Designo Selenite Grey Magno.
The cabin of C-Class Cabriolet is aesthetically done in Magma Grey leather upholstery. It is compliant to the BS-VI standards and remains mated to a 9-speed 9G Tronic automatic gearbox which can help to sprint the car to 100 Kmph in just 6.2 seconds. The maximum speed of this convertible is 250 Kmph and fuel tank capacity is 59 litres.
Mercedes-Benz India introduced the C-Class Cabriolet at a price range of INR 65.25 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It is a niche automobile in India, and only Audi A3 Cabriolet and Audi A5 Cabriolet are the nearest competitors.
