Maruti is the biggest automobile company in India and has a wide range of cars that fulfil different needs of people. The company has a number of hatchbacks in the entry segment, which gives people a range of choices. One such model that is attracting a lot of attention recently is the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X. This car is the upgraded version of Maruti Suzuki Celerio. While the Celerio is a decent -looking car, the Celerio X goes even further to give the riders a more refined and powerful performance on the road.
Maruti Celerio X can be best described as the rugged version of Maruti Celerio. While the overall design of this car remains the same, there are certain tweaks both externally as well as internally that give it a completely new identity. One of the biggest changes in the external look of this car is the all-around cladding that gives it a more muscular look. Additionally, you will find that the fog lamp section has been given a black tone, which gives the lower grille a more protruding look. Looking at this car from the side, you will see that the door handles, and the B and C pillars are given a black coating and you will find a classy -looking graphic character line that travels across the length of the two doors. The back profile of this car gets a silver colour sump plate along with reflectors that gel well with its rough and tough image.
The interior of Maruti Suzuki Celerio X is similar to one that you find in the Celerio model with only minor changes. The most glaring change that you get when you enter the passenger cabin of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X is the all Black furnishing with orange highlights. Sitting in this car is quite comfortable as there are adequate legroom and headroom for all the riders. The seats come with integrated headrest and have good cushioning. The plastic used on the dashboard as well as on the side of the doors are of good quality. However, the bland looking dashboard is a great disappointment. While this car is sold as a rugged hatchback, we find the comfort level quite satisfactory for the price range at which it is available in the market.
Maruti has made this model available with a 1.0 L petrol model that you can have, with either a five-speed manual or automatic transmission system. This efficient little engine can produce a maximum 68 PS amount of power that results in a 90 and torque. This car is specially made for city travel because the moment you reach higher rev, you will feel the vibration in the steering wheel. After continuous testing of this model will find that in the range of 2300-3200 RPM, you will get the best performance. Anything below 2300 RPM and you will feel that the engine acts quite sluggish.
This perky little hatchback is available at a price range of Rs. 4.63 lakhs to Rs. 5.49 lakhs (approximate). The main competitors of this car in the market are Ford Figo, Tata Tiago and Fiat Punto Evo Pure.
