If you are looking for a compact sedan with good looks, above average performance and at a competitive price, then we suggest that check out the Mahindra Verito Vibe CS. This car was first introduced in 2007 through a joint venture between Mahindra and Renault. After the joint venture was dissolved, now Mahindra manufactures it with some technical assistance from the Renault. In this article, we will give you a brief introduction to this car and the various features of this car.

If you look at the Mahindra Verito Vibe CS from a distance, you may think that it is a hatchback. Actually, it is a compact sedan that was introduced in the Indian market to cater to the demand for a smaller car that can easily negotiate the heavy city traffics. It has a black coloured engine Grill that contrasts beautifully with its body colour. It has 14-inch steel wheels (there is also an option for alloy wheels for the top end trim). You will find a thick character line travelling horizontally across both the front and the rear doors. The back profile of the car is a bit different from the general sedan look. It looks like a cross between a sedan and a hatchback with beautifully designed vertical LED tail lamp cluster. While it will not win any prize for its design, it is quite easy on the eyes thanks to its sharp lines and curved edges.

This is an entry-level sedan therefore; you should not expect many comfort features in this car. It is designed for five people. The seats are well designed and have fabric cover. You will find that the passenger cabin is quite comfortable and provides the riders adequate leg and headspace. At the front, the dashboard is plainly designed in 2 x 2 format. The driver seat is adjustable and when you sit behind the wheel, you will find all the instruments easy to read and reach. The steering wheel does not have any multi-functional buttons. One disappointment is that the music system is provided only in the top end trim.

In India, this car is available only with a diesel engine and manual transmission. It is a 1.5 L CRDi diesel engine that can generate a maximum power of 64.1 bhp @4000 rpm that result in a crushing torque of 160 Nm@2000 rpm. This engine is mated with a five-speed manual transmission box that allows it to reach a top speed of 145 kmph and give a mileage of 20.8 K MPL (ARAI).
