Loaded with some best in segment features, the Ford Figo 2019 is all set to take on its rivals in the compact hatchback segment. The 2019 Ford Figo facelift has, as per ARIA, mileage of 18.16 kmpl for petrol options and 25.8 kmpl for diesel variants whereas the petrol automatic has a mileage of 17 kmpl. The new Ford Figo is available in 7 colours – Deep Impact Blue, Moondust Silver, Ruby Red, White Gold, Absolute Black, Oxford White, Smoke Grey.
The new facelift Ford Figo carries a balanced stance with three-dimensional black cellular grille in the front fascia. The fog lamps are integrated into the front bumper which are surrounded by C-profile with a chrome and blue touch, depending on the trim. And to further enhance the sportiness, the headlamps have a black encasing. The top-of-the-line Figo Blu comes with dual-tone roof and 15-inch black alloy wheels for more premium look while the rest of the range gets 14-inch wheels as standard. There is not much change in the rear, except for the redesigned rear bumper.
The blue and charcoal black interiors add style to the new Figo. The top-spec Figo Blue has blue highlights on the dashboard and door panels. The seats in the facelift Figo are redesigned for better support and driving dynamics. The revamped dashboard has a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen which is equipped with Ford’s SYNC3 connectivity system having the Emergency Assistance feature that notifies nearest hospital in case of collision. Further features include – auto climate control, illuminated USB sockets, engine start/stop button, etc. On the safety front, the new Figo features segment-best 6 airbags and ABS (anti-lock braking system) with ESP (electronic stability program). Furthermore, it also comes with speed limiter that can be controlled with either of the two key fobs. The new Ford Figo has a boot space capacity of 284 Liters.
The new Ford Figo petrol variant is powered by a 1.2 L three-cylinder naturally aspirated Ti-VCT petrol engine giving peak power of 94 bhp and 120 Nm of peak torque. The diesel variant gets 1.5 L TDCi diesel engine giving 100 bhp and 215 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Both the petrol and diesel engines are mated with 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.5 L automatic petrol variant is mated with 6-speed torque converter.
The all new Ford Figo will give tough competition to some of the cars like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Volkswagen Polo. Ambiente (base-spec), Titanium and Titanium Blu (top-spec) are all 3 variants available for the updated Figo in both petrol and diesel engine options.
