BMW released the 7-series sedan in India during the Auto Expo 2016. It was one of the most technologically advanced automobiles at that time and offered stiff competition to Mercedes S-class and Audi A8. In the beginning, only two trims- Design Pure Excellence (DPE) and M-Sport – in both petrol and diesel were available for the automobile lovers and the price range at that time started from INR 1.11 crore. Later on, in May 2017 BMW introduced two new configurations to the already successful 7 Series line-up- M760Li xDrive and the M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence. The facelift is based on the Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform where it borrows the basic design and engine from the older sibling and adds upgraded features to it. This sedan made its entry to India through Completely Built Up (CBU) route.
