Ampere Electric Scooters Get A Price Cut Upto ₹10,000 in India

Ampere has announced significant price cuts for some of its electric scooters in India. The reductions go up to Rs 10,000 on select models.These reductions drop the prices of the scooter down to as low as ₹59,900 (ex-showroom).

Two scooters received price revisions: the Reo Li Plus and the Magnus (available in EX and LT variants). The recently launched Amoere Nexus remains unaffected and retains its introductory pricing. The biggest price drop applies to the entry-level Ampere Reo Li Plus, which comes down from ₹ 69,900 (ex-showroom) to ₹ 59,900 (ex-showroom). The Ampere Magnus scooters see reductions of ₹ 10,000 (EX) and Rs 9,000 (LT), bringing its new prices to ₹ 94,900 and ₹ 84,900 respectively.

Range and Performance

The Ampere Reo Li Plus gets a 1.3 kWh battery. It offers a claimed IDC range of 70 km. Although this is cheaper as it has a 25 kmph to speed. This limits it to basic city usage only. 

The Ampere Magnus EX packs a 1.2kW motor and a 1.68 kWh battery. This gives it a claimed IDC range of 80 km and a top speed of 53 kmph. The Magnus LT offers a similar 80 km IDC range but with a lower 45 kmph top speed.

Ampere's recently launched premium scooter, the Nexus, remains outside this price revision. It's available in two variants and is priced at ₹ 1.10 lakh(ex-showroom) for the EX and ₹ 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the ST.
